JAVIS provides maintenance of the data communications links, which support DISA and its customers, as well as network management expertise to prevent unintentional harmful actions of one customer from impacting other customers within the DISA facility or outside via SIPRNET/NIPRNET connections. JAVIS provides support to the engineering office in the areas of network performance monitoring and problem resolution and designs and implements network architecture improvements and network performance enhancements. JAVIS performs network configuration management, collection and analysis of performance statistics, and support of the development, integration, configuration, and maintenance of the World View network monitoring tool. JAVIS provides technical support to DISA's facility infrastructure supporting computer system engineering. This support is in areas of communications, laboratory administration, DII Hotline, problem resolution, and warehousing. The service includes task management, site surveys, installation drawings and documentation, site preparation, communications and network support, computer laboratory support, hardware and software installation, system training, data base conversion and installation, inventory management activities, system configuration, staging, central site support (the GCCS Technical Assistance Center and DII COE help desk), and emergency site recovery.
