Executive Summary

JAVIS Automation & Engineering, Inc. is a small business that is growing at
a fast pace with business revenues expected at least double over the next 6
months. The company is in the beginning stages of restructuring to address
the explosive upcoming growth. For example, a new position of Operations
Manager is defined and JAVIS is working to fill it. There is an awareness of
the benefits to their operations of having a good quality management system
in place to the ISO 9000:2000 Standard.

The government contracting process and the internal JAVIS Automation &
Engineering, Inc. processes fulfill the ISO 9001:2000 customer
communication, review of customer requirements, and definition of
responsibilities. These are definite strengths already in place at the
company. Other strengths of the current management system are in passing
those customer requirements that are appropriate to any
supplier/subcontractor of JAVIS Automation & Engineering, Inc. and weekly
internal meetings to track status of the various projects.
