Technical Experience
EC/EDI INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT UNIX system monitoring, trouble ticket processing, document tracking and gateway support are required to provide effective operation of the center. In addition, as technology has emerged, the Web has become an integral part of the EC technical solution. Provides maintenance and systems administration of the EC infrastructure and uniquely understands this requirement. Provides support the EC/EDI Project office by providing Engineering management and development support in the areas of overall EC/EDI Infrastructure Support, coordination of Value-Added Network (VAN) and Gateway activities, Programmatic Documentation and Configuration Management.

Provides EC/EDI Security System Accreditation and System Test & Evaluation Support.

VAN PROGRAM AND GATEWAY OPERATIONAL SUPPORT. Administers the expanded VAN program by providing the daily interface with DoD certified VANs participating in the DoD and Federal EC/EDI program. Supports the ECPO by interfacing with the VANs, answering all VAN related inquiries, serve as a public relations link to the VANs and DISA's government customers, make presentations as required, organize and conduct meetings as required and develop documentation as required. Supports the development and documentation of the certification processes for gateways and Automated Information Systems (AIS) sites.

PROGRAMMATIC DOCUMENTATION SUPPORT: Develops the required Electronic data interchange programmatic documentation. Reviews available government furnished information to include the draft business plan, economic analysis and EC traffic reports. Conducts analyses of various projects including economic analyses, budget analyses, forecasting, present value analyses, statistical analyses and other analyses as required. The results of these efforts are summarized in a revised EDI Business Plan. The Business Plan serves as the primary financial and economic plan for the EC/EDI program.

ECI CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT. Provides configuration management support for the Department of Defense Electronic Business Exchange. Complete the inventory of software, hardware and communication baseline configuration items. Tests the configuration management tool and install electronic forms for change process control and configuration status accounting. Supports the ECPO configuration management effort by providing administrative, functional and technical support throughout development, implementation, and operation phases of the process. Supports the evaluation, selection, implementation and testing of the CM tool that will be used throughout the JECPO.
